On August 17, 2026, the Building and Service Division, General Administration Department, Office of the President, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), organized the Emergency Preparedness Program for Fiscal Year 2026. The program aimed to enhance personnel’s knowledge, understanding, and essential skills in responding effectively to emergency situations. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Komson Sommanawat, Vice President for Administration, assigned Mr. Narupon Srisawang, Director of the Office of the President, to preside over the opening ceremony. The program was held at the Phanichayakul Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Building 14, and The Royal Monument of Queen Sunandha Kumareerattana , Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
The program featured fire safety experts from Samsen Fire and Rescue Station, who provided practical knowledge and training on basic firefighting techniques, fire prevention, and fire risk reduction. The training also included a review of each unit’s fire evacuation plan, as well as hands-on firefighting exercises using actual equipment and simulated emergency situations. These activities were designed to equip university personnel with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond appropriately, safely, and promptly in the event of an emergency.
The program forms part of SSRU’s efforts to promote organizational safety and resilience in responding to emergency situations, while creating a safe working environment and strengthening personnel capacity in disaster prevention and emergency response. The initiative is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by contributing to disaster risk reduction and promoting safe and resilient communities capable of responding effectively to emergencies.
The program also supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by promoting workplace safety and reducing risks to the lives and health of university personnel, as well as SDG 4: Quality Education, through the development of essential knowledge and practical skills for safe living and working.
